Thermally manipulated pure spin current in a spin-orbit mesoscopic interferometer

摘要
We study the associated effects of the magnetic flux and temperature bias on the spin-polarized transport through an Aharnov-Bohm (AB) ring with an embedded Rashba quantum dot (QD). It is found that a pure spin thermoelectric current without an accompanying charge current can be generated by modulating the temperature difference between the two leads. Furthermore, the spin thermopower is shown to be greater than the charge thermopower, and a pure spin thermopower can be obtained by tuning only the gate voltage. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2011
