摘要
Elder home care telemonitoring services deliver remote services 24 x 7 via a call center. The effectiveness and efficiency of this technology have been proven but knowledge regarding its diffusion and adoption is still fragmentary. A case study was conducted in a public home care setting in two sites that had this new technology. The research questions focus on the characteristics of telemonitoring adoption (number of clients referred, number and types of professionals involved) and the identification of personal determinants of adoption. Results show that at site 2, the workers' habits with NICTs were determinants favorable to telemonitoring diffusion. Perceived obstacles indicate some interesting avenues for improving telemonitoring diffusion.
