Evaluation of construction quality control and material properties of RCC dam

摘要
This paper evaluates the properties of RCC materials through the quality control data and the field monitoring in Jiangya Dam. For material properties: the mix proportion must meet the design requirements of compressive strength, impermeability and ultimate tensile strain. Concrete had to avoided segregation and easy to be compacted during transporting and spreading. More flyash and less cement in concrete can reduce hydration heat, be helpful to thermal control and using flyash can give the later strength of RCC. The monitoring results have shown that the compressive strength and tensile strength of RCC raised 20% and 30% at 360-day age and 90-day age, respectively. And the mechanical properties and the impermeability of cores sampled in site meet the requirement of dam operation. In order to convenient construction, the zoning of RCC dam is designed as simply as possible and the interval time between layers is reduced as shortly as possible. Perfect construction organizing measures and strict management of construction procedure are the guarantee of RCC dam with high quality.
