Experimental study on effects of pipe inclination in airlift water pumping

摘要
In this paper, an experimental investigation on airlift water pumping in inclined pipe is conducted. A stainless steel pipe model, of which diameter is 55.5mm and length is 11.5m, is used for the experiments in a square basin (L:60m, B:30m, D:16m). Flow rates of water are measured with respect to air injection rate, air injection depth and inclination angle of pipe. The angles of pipe inclination are varied as 5, 10, 15 and 20deg. The experimental results of inclined pipes are compared with those of vertical pipe, and the performance is analyzed.
