Parameter selection for decentralized slot synchronization of wireless ad hoc networks

摘要
Slot synchronization plays a main role in TDMA-based wireless ad hoc networks. However, malfunctioning nodes in the network may decrease the accuracy of decentralized slot synchronization. A weighted parameter selection scheme is proposed for decentralized slot synchronization of ad hoc networks. To realize accurate synchronization, the proposed scheme employs the time slot difference between neighbouring nodes to automatically determine the weighted parameter. Computer simulation results show that the slot reference of all nodes are synchronized automatically to each other and converge accurately.
