摘要
The article aims to familiarize readers with the certification criteria systems of sustainable biofuels. These sustainability criteria are contained in directive of European Parliament and Council 2009/28/EC on the promotion of energy from renewable sources and 2009/30/ES on quality dude. Sustainability criteria can be divided into two parts. The first is to prove the origin of biofuels, which must demonstrate that the growing of biomass for biofuel was not impaired biodiversity. The second is the demonstration of some savings in greenhouse gas emitted during the entire life cycle of biofuels compared to fossil alternatives. Companies involved in the production of biofuels must also provide precise information to Member States on the implementation of sustainability criteria and that information must undergo an independent audit. For verification of information a majority of Member States creates mandatory certification systems of biofuels entire production chain, aiming to verify the information.
