摘要
This paper deals with the energy saving given by the recovery of the braking energy coming from the trains in railway transportation systems. In particular, the paper is focused on the discussion about the conversion systems that are needed to achieve the power flow control from the braking trains to the station load through the energy exchange with the storage devices. These converters are actually realized to form a full-scale prototype applied to a regional 3 kV(DC) railway line.
