摘要
Noting the importance of employment to graduates across disciplines, this study considers the best approach to studying employability skills in Higher Education research. Employability skills faces challenge in terms of appropriate methodology due to the different perceptions of the major stakeholders. This has brought about differences in the opinion of researchers on how best to approach the study of employability skills. Based on the review of previous studies in employability, a search string of journal articles was conducted using Scopus data set. The search spanned between 2013 and 2016 with a retrieval of 118 publications from the database. The number was reduced to 61 by automatic refinement. Further filtering reduced the publications to 42 for full study. Findings shows that there was no uniform methods of conducting research in employability. The study suggested a uniform way of conducting employability skills research based on the aggregate methods found in the study.
