Magnetism, transport, elastic and thermodynamic properties of Er(Co0.97X0.03)2 compounds

摘要
Results of magnetic, transport, specific-heat and dilatometric studies of the Er(Co0.97X0.03)(2) compounds for X = Al; Si, Ga, Ge and In are presented. The p-element substitution yields a dramatic increase of T-C: When Curie temperature exceeds 1, 4 T-C of ErCo2 the character of magnetic ordering transition changes from first- and second-order and simultaneously the metamagnetism above T-C disappears.
