摘要
Alloying is one of the effective methods to improve the mechanical and thermal properties of TiAl3 alloys. Therefore, the stability, mechanical and thermal properties of the cubic TiM2Al (M shows Ni, Co, Fe, and Cu) were calculated by using first-principles calculations. The results showed that the TiM2Al was thermodynamically stable. The TiFe2Al has the excellent mechanical properties (such as low compressibility and high stiffness). The anisotropic indexes, three-dimensional (3D) surface contour and two-dimensional (2D) projections were applied for discussing the anisotropic elasticity. Finally, the sound velocities anisotropy and Debye temperature were analyzed, and the corresponding order for the TiM2Al was TiFe2Al > TiCo2Al > TiNi2Al > TiCu2Al.
