摘要：

The benefits of statins in patients with stable coronary syndrome is indisputable, however their early use in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is under debate. There are few existing clinical trials and meta-analysis results on this and their results provide little clarification. However, most of the registries have found them to be efficient. There are no studies that show this therapy to be unsafe, so its inclusion in treatment guidelines during the acute phase of ACS could be studied. (C) 2009 Elsevier Espana, S.L. and SEMICYUC.
