摘要
The influence of the reaction conditions on the kinetics of radical inverse emulsion polymerization of acrylamide and sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate has been investigated. The copolymerization has been performed in isooctane, dissolving the monomers in water, with sorbitan monooleate and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate as surfactants and AIBN as initiator. It has been found that the regularities of the inverse emulsion copolymerization are close to these of the solution polymerization. The effect of hydrothermal treatment up to 180 degrees C on the stability of the synthesized copolymers has been addressed. The degree of hydrolysis of the copolymer has been decreased with the increase in the content of sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate.
