The planned increase of the domestically produced sugar supply in Morocco entails upgrading and expansion of the production capacities. The refinery in Casablanca illustrates the expansion and modernization process from design to implementation described in this article, for which the projected screening plant, the construction of storage and conditioning silos with bulk loading facility. and the upgrading of production and packaging provide examples Very special products. such as 2-kg sugar loaves and bars, and limited space availability posed particular problems that required individually tailored solutions
