摘要
The aim of this paper was to investigate the electro-coagulation process efficiency (expressed in terms of colour removal degree) in treatment of Indigo Carmine containing solution using aluminium and iron as sacrificial anodes. In the first part of the study, the influence of some key operational parameters :current density, initial dye solution concentration, initial pH value was investigated. In the second part of the paper the influence of : electrolyte type and concentration, anodic material and electrolysis time of electrocoagulation process performances was established. The best removal effciciency, 99.94%, was achieved using iron anodes under following conditions: C-0 = 5. 10(-5)M, pH(i) = 6, i = 200 A/m(2).
