摘要：
Under conditions of turbulent global environment and even fiercer competition today, the enterprises are forced to take measures in order to increase operating efficiency and improve management processes. Analysis of best business practices, operating tactics and effective strategies, which are the components of benchmarking, can accelerate progress and self-improvement in each enterprise. Also, benchmarking goes beyond conventional comparative analysis. Preparation, reporting and analysis of a number of basic technical, organization and economical indexes helps understand the reasons for shortcomings and find methods for improving current solutions. The paper presents the systems for assessment of operation of energy sector enterprises and indicates assessment criteria and measures for the purposes of benchmarking.
