摘要
The effect of Ni, Ti and Sr addition on the corrosion behavior of a zinc-aluminum alloy in the die cast condition. The Immersion corrosion and the potentiodynamic polarization tests were carried out at room temperature to study the corrosion behavior. The Ni-containing alloys consisted of Ni-based intermetallic particles whose morphology changed from blocky to rod-shape with increasing Ni content. The addition of Ti resulted in rosette-shaped dendrites whereas that of Sr resulted in dendrites with increased curvature. It was observed that the addition of ni results in improved wear behavior of the alloy.
