Nesiritide for outpatient treatment of heart failure

摘要：
Although outpatient care has become vital in the management of chronic heart failure, no study has shown that nesiritide contributes safely to that care. The authors of this commentary recommend that, until nesiritide's safety profile in outpatients has been defined, the drug should be used only in inpatients whose acute decompensated heart failure has not responded to adequate attempts with diuretics and vasodilators.
