Magnetic properties of anisotropic Sm-Fe-N bulk magnets produced by spark plasma sintering method

摘要
Sm-Fe-N powders were consolidated into bulk materials by the spark plasma sintering (SPS) method. Although partial decomposition of the Sm(2)Fe(17)N(3) phase was noted in the magnets, the decomposition was reduced by the addition of a small amount of Zn powder to the Sm-Fe-N powder. The anisotropic Sm-Fe-N magnet obtained from a mixture of Sm-Fe-N and Zn powders exhibited a high remanence of 0.90T with a coercivity of 0.54 MA m(-1). (C) 2008 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
