摘要
Digital signage (DS) is a digital paging device, such as information panel, wall display, kiosk, ATM, etc. Its purpose is to display advertising, information and navigation. One of spheres of interest is the use of technology for navigation in buildings, cities and countryside. For this purpose are mainly used static maps or map simulations. In many situations, these solutions appear to be insufficient and there are difficulties with updating the containing information on display. The first part of contribution deals with the analysis for typical scenarios, which are used for displaying maps on these devices. The second part deals with displaying the cartographic map outputs on the Info panel and with its related problems. The final section of the paper proposes and designs mechanisms of map generation for DS using maps, WMS protocol and Geo Web. It has been proposed and implemented suitable cartographic representation and mechanism of map generation for DS based on found circumstances such as usual distance of user, viewing angle of user, light conditions.
