摘要
A magnetic fluidized bed is employed for cornstarch particles coating using 2.5 mu m SiO2 fine powder. Such dry coating method can improve the fluidization quality for cornstarch particles, belonging to Geldart C group. The better coating effect is observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) image when the coating is performed in a magnetic fluidized bed (MFB). Investigations indicate that particles with a surface modification achieve larger bed expansion in comparison to those without surface modification. Coated cornstarch particles have longer collapse times than cornstarch particles.
