Visualization of thermal environment in urban residential district

摘要
The numerical simulation of thermal environment in an urban residential district is carried out. Firstly, physical and mathematical models of outdoor airflow in this district are set up, airflow in the urban residential district is three-dimensional, steady, non-isothermal, and turbulent mixed convection airflows in this district is assumed. On the whole, the computed results demonstrate that the application of numerical simulation is capable of providing full information of the airflow everywhere within district and therefore allows the overview of thermal environment parameters, and the findings are helpful in the research of architectural system energy conservation and optimizing the building designs in urban residential district.
