A new vapour phase growth approach to organic crystals

摘要
A sophisticated semi-open physical vapour transport (SO-PVT) technique has been first applied to the growth of urea and then, following the experience gained with urea, the technique has been extended to study the growth of urea methyl derivatives. High-quality crystals of urea and N-methylurea (NMU) have been obtained, thus confirming the great potentials of SO-PVT methods as to the increasing of the average linear growth rate and growth stability, as well as to the improving of the crystal quality.
