摘要
Nowadays there is a period marked by great technological advances in various areas of human knowledge, which are affecting the quality of life and longevity of people. The advent of the internet and new technologies creates a new way of obtaining information, reasoning, leisure and socialization. However, it also generates a new form of exclusion, the digital exclusion. Victims of this prejudice, adults, young and mainly elderly, due to inaccessibility and limitations imposed by age, cannot keep up with the technological advances to which they are exposed daily. Besides digital inclusion being an instrument of social qualification of these people, it also improves the quality of life and encourages brain activities. Another important factor is that digital inclusion makes this group feel belonging to the globalized world in which they live, which in many cases makes them exercise their citizenship. Digital inclusion is the democratization of access to the computer world. For this reason, the Digital Inclusion Project was developed with the objective of contributing to the socialization of the elderly. During its execution two classes are offered per year, and basic and advanced computer workshops are offered, serving a population of 50 elderly people. In this context, digital knowledge is brought to those who have not had access to it, so that they can become protagonists of this new social knowledge.
