Improvements of Speed Adaptation Response for IPMSM Position Sensorless Vector Control with Parallel Feedforward Compensator

摘要
This paper proposes improvements of speed adaptation response for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (IPMSMs) position sensorless vector control using a parallel feedforward compensator. Position sensorless control based on an adaptive observer is known to cause delay in the speed adaptation response since gain characteristics on the speed adaptation are reduced in high frequency range, and some studies on improvement of speed estimation response have been done so far. These approaches, however, tend to cause problems of increasing computational complexity. This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of the adaptive observer with the assistance of the proposed parallel feedforward compensator for improvements of speed adaptation response. This parallel feedforward compensator is the only component as an additional controller, and is constructed by an band-pass filter. Hence, the proposed method would be highly practical since the additional component requires less computational effort. In addition, this paper also proposes the bode-diagram based design strategy for some parameters in the proposed parallel feedforward compensator. Finally, the some experimental results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
