The environmental label in ecuadorian environmental law. Legal treatment and implementation as public policy within consumer rights

The article characterizes the environmental label within the market instruments based on its recognition in the Ecuadorian legal system as part of the public promotion policies aimed at management subjects, linked to the protection of consumer rights in the network of commerce and services as mandated by the 2008 constitutional text in order to achieve the millennium goals for 2030. The so-called market instruments linked to environmental protection, including the environmental label, in Ecuador are implemented those of type I. There is not an adequate environmental culture within small and medium-sized companies that ponder it does not protect the environment. Contrary to large companies that have implemented it, which makes their productions more competitive and takes into account the link with consumer rights through proper environmental management.
