摘要
Information technology has had a profound impact on productivity in the business office, but the impact of these tools on improving productivity in the day-to-day educational process has not been as evident. Test Scores have been the primary measure of productivity in the USA, but a broader definition of productivity is needed for both teaching and for student learning. Some definitions for productivity are introduced for both teaching and learning. Potential uses of information technology at increasingly higher levels in the process of formation of knowledge in students is examined. Then, a vision of the uses of information technology in a typical primary education classroom is presented. Finally some real-world experiences with uses of computers in the classroom are presented, and one possible implementation is discussed.
