摘要
Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are effective analgesics and may be a valuable component of opioid-sparing perioperative analgesic strategies following colorectal surgery. However, NSAIDs may also impair wound healing and have been associated with an increased risk of anastomotic leak in some reports. In this chapter we will review the benefits of NSAIDs in managing postoperative pain, and review and critique the body of evidence on the association between NSAIDs and anastomotic leaks after colorectal surgery.
