Performance Optimization in Multi-user Multiband Carrierless Amplitude and Phase modulation for Visible Light Communication

摘要
Multi-band carrierless amplitude and phase modulation have been combined with subcarrier multiplexing to produce a multi-user access scheme for visible light communication. The choice of this association offers high spectral efficiency and easier implementation than orthogonal frequency division multiplexing based schemes. Optimizations of the performances in throughput and flexibility are researched experimentally through the exploration of the parameters defining the pulse shaping filters associated to each subcarrier. This paper thus presents the optimizations attained from a base 20-CAP, 300 Mb/s divisible data rate system to a 20-CAP, 350 Mb/s divisible throughput when determining optimal transmit filter parameters individually for each subcarriers.
