摘要
This paper presents a general theory of electron energy loss spectroscopy based on a recently developed basis-independent multiple-scattering formalism. This approach allows to establish the cross-section in a physically transparent way. An application to the particular case of spherical waves in a real space representation is made to show the flexibility of the method. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
