We have succeeded in growing a single crystal of UCu2Ge2 with the tetragonal structure by the Sn-flux method and measured the electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and specific beat. This is the first single crystal growth of UCu2Ge2. The magnetic properties are highly anisotropic, reflecting the crystal structure. An easy-axis of magnetization is found to be the [001] direction (c-axis) with a saturation moment 1.75 mu(B)/U, while the [100] direction (a-axis) is the hard-axis in magnetization, indicating an Ising-type ferromagnetism. The electronic specific heat coefficient is determined as 30 mJ/(K-2.mol).
