摘要
This work aims to present a theoretical study of the electrical components for an offshore and isolated system for converting energy from sea or ocean waves into electrical energy, applied to a spar buoy generation system that operates with the oscillating water column principle. To achieve this general objective, a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is specifically designed for the application and analyzed with numerical simulation using the finite element method. Additionally, a three-phase boost PWM converter with power factor correction (PFC) is modeled to operate with reduced current harmonics within the generator, unit power factor and to control the converted power of the system to operate with optimum power conversion. Thus, the quadrature-axis current of the electrical system is maintained at zero, and the converted power is established by controlling the direct-axis current of the electrical system. The results of the mathematical model of the system are compared to the ones obtained with an electrical circuit simulation.
