摘要
In the last 10 years there have been very extensive discussions on hypertension with respect to target blood pressure values and the preferential pharmaceutical treatment. Ultimately, the large European and American hypertension and cardiological specialist societies have now been able to define new guidelines. The treatment guidelines of the Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) specifically oriented to the treatment of patients with hypertensive chronic kidney disease (CKD) before dialysis have also now been updated. In this context, two aspects in particular are new and have far-reaching consequences. Firstly, in the new KDIGO guidelines low blood pressure values (< 120 mm Hg systolic) are defined as the treatment target. Secondly, it is explicitly emphasized that such a committed treatment target should only be strived for with the utilization of precisely standardized blood pressure measurements for diagnostics and monitoring, i.e. the routine measurement cannot be used.
