摘要
This article studies and evaluates various options for a comprehensive and integrated solution about capturing, processing and disposing of video and audio content in various presentation channels. In order to find a solution to the above problems we need to work holistically and systemically. We suggest the use of a Content Management Platform (CMP). The solution aims to set up a modular system that can take video in any format directly from cameras, montage equipment, streamers and every video capturing and processing equipment and, then, process it and distribute it to the various display means (internet, TV, satellite transponders etc.) in the most automated way. The CMP proposed in this article fully exploits the logic of modern web applications and has been developed in a modular way, following the modern microservices approach. The system is able to receive video input from any source, which may be video equipment or any other video and audio capturing device or software in multiple forms (raw, mp4, avi, ts, etc.). The software transcodes the incoming signal, introduces metadata, subtitles and information concerning special equipment like character generators, auto-queue equipment, video servers, broadcasting devices, and performs all the required processes so that the video output can be suitable for being played in various formats and media devices. The flow management becomes a very simple process for both the end user and the media content administrator, since all one has to do is to connect the video source from the corresponding device and import it in the platform. An extensive asynchronous ruling mechanism is responsible for managing the content automatically until it is exported to various output formats.
