摘要
The universities were one of the main areas intervened by the civil-military dictatorship after the coup d'etat of 1973. One of the first measures of the Military Junta was the dismissal of in-service Rectors and their replacement by Rectors delegates, who pushed within the university campuses a process of purification with the aim of normalizing academic activities. This process meant the expulsion, exoneration and dismissals, for political, ideological, or even personal reasons, of a large number of academics, students and officials. This period of university normalization was based in a large extent on the base of denunciation and betrayal promoted by teachers and students. One of these cases happened at the University of Concepcion, which to this day was syndicated, by the new authorities of the period, as an institution that had been strongly linked to the ideas of the left and Marxism, hence the policy of the First two delegate rectors to cleanse the house of studies between the years 1973 and 1980.
