摘要
The paper aims at the analysis of the relationship between selected social factors and the prevalence of substance abuse among the Czech juveniles. Data from the Czech 2011 wave of the European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs were used. Using a multilevel modelling framework, we point to the important role of both substance use among peer groups and friends the teenager socializes with, and the level of parental bonding and monitoring over his/her leisure time. These factors appear to be key for an effective planning and practice of prevention of risk behaviour among the Czech youth.
