摘要
A study on the double helical gear transmissions with geometric elements constructed tooth pairs is carried out in this paper. Generation principle and mathematical model of tooth profiles are proposed based on the curve-to-curve contact theory. Meshing equations in the given contact direction are derived. Parametric design of tooth profiles with point contact is conducted and solid models are established for motion simulation. Stress analysis of the double helical gear transmissions with geometric elements constructed tooth pairs are provided in terms of the developed numerical examples. Gear prototypes are also manufactured using CNC machining technology. The further experiments on transmission properties of gear prototypes will be carried out.
