This work deals with a deformation behaviour and damage in fabric-reinforced composites subjected to dynamic loading conditions. The damage evolution in these laminates is studied with cohesive zone model incorporated in three-dimensional finite element models developed in Abaqus/Explicit. The numerical models are also used to study the effect of boundary conditions on the dynamic response and damage evolution of composite laminates. A good agreement was found between the results of simulations and dynamic experimental tests when compared.
