The influence of warm plastic deformation on the structure and on the applicable properties of high speed steel

摘要
The research revealed that dose to the alpha - gamma transformation temperature a phenomenon of increased plasticity occurs in these materials. In the hot-stretching test elongation amounted to 100 %. In this paper the findings of tests on two wolfram-molybdenium high-speed steels recomended for use in tools made by plastic deformation are presented. In stretchning and compression tests the increased plastic range of both steels were determined and within this range the effect of plastic deformation on the structure of the steels under examination was analysed.
