The spectra and cross correlation of radio wave frequency fluctuations observed during coronal plasma sounding with spacecraft signals

摘要
Frequency measurement results obtained using a high-stability decimeter-wave oscillator on board the Galileo spacecraft are analyzed for a series of radio occultation experiments performed during its superior conjunction. The power spectra and cross-correlation function of frequency fluctuations simultaneously recorded at spaced ground stations are found. The theory of frequency fluctuations in turbulent coronal plasma is developed and generalized. Theoretical and experimental results are compared. Data on the outer scale of turbulence and the intensity of fluctuations of coronal plasma electron concentration are obtained.
