PSYCHO-SOCIO-CULTURAL REASONS AND CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLENCE AND AGGRESSION

The issue of aggression and violence is biologically complex and also sensitive from political and cultural point of view. Biological discoveries do not absolve us from being responsible of acts of violence. As behavior disorders are conditioned by a diversity of reasons and, their solving endeavor implies multiple actions, such as: biological approaches which concentrate on the pharmaceutical intervention to diminish the aggressive behavior; social approaches which start from the assumption that the well treated individuals will react adequately; the educational approach, through developing the desirable abilities and habits; and the psychological approach, through clearance of inferiority feelings, conflicting moods and reinforcing positive personality features.
