摘要：

Grimmia mexicana Greven is characterized by obtuse to rounded or subcucullate leaf apices and by the other plates of the peristone teeth that are smooth and hyaline or transluscent. These and other morphological differences distinguish it from G. ochyriana Munoz that is thus excluded from the neotropical moss flora.
