Relation between corotational and polar rotations

摘要
Rate constitutive laws are easy to use and well adapted for large deformation analyses. The principle of objectivity requires the introduction of Lagrangian operators obtained by isometric transformations (rotations). Most usual rotations are the corotational and the polar ones. This paper shows that they are connected in a simple way. This new relation gives the best method to obtain the corotational frame, since it only involves operators in the reference space. Moreover, it is possible to transform a Lagrangian model into an Eulerian one, by using the polar rotation. (C) Academie des Sciences/Elsevier, Paris.
