摘要
The purpose of this chapter is to find out the extent to which the implementation of character values in multicultural education can be a solution to eliminate the practice of intolerance in early childhood education. This chapter will try to re-conceptualize multicultural education, which has neglected the value of tolerance in early childhood education. This chapter uses the literature review research method in analyzing previous studies. The results of previous research indicate that the character values of multicultural education still ignore tolerance values such as addressing disrespectful actions such as insulting, denouncing and other negative behaviors. Therefore, this chapter is expected to be a reference for early childhood educators as a solution to the elimination of intolerance practices in early childhood education.
