摘要
Induced atrial fibrillation (AF) converts spontaneously within 15 minutes more often in women than in men, and the extent to which the atrial effective refractory period shortens after a brief episode of AF is directly related to age in women, but not in men. These findings are consistent with some of the age and gender-dependent differences in AF observed clinically.
