摘要
We have performed 1680 consecutive laparoscopic inguinal herniorrhaphies in 1500 patients. A Marlex mesh was used for tension free repair, adhering to the surgical principles of transabdominal preperitoneal herniorrhaphy. The mesh was sutured to the anatomic landmarks: Coopers ligament, iliopubic tract and transversalis are with surgical clips. The mean operative time was 35,5 min in unilateral hernia repair acid 51,5 min in bilateral herniorrhaphies. Conversion to open surgery was not required in any patient. Hernia recurrence occurred in sir: patients. The morbidity rate was 5,8% with no mortality. Most of these patients (91,8%) returned to work within one week after operation. in conclusion, laparoscopic inguinal herniorrhaphy is a safe and effective procedure and should be considered the first choice in most patients.
