Cultivated Land Conversion, Non-agricultural Employment and Economic Growth: Some Empirical Evidence and the Related Policy from Sichuan Province

摘要
The purpose of this paper was to analyze the degree of cultivated land conversion to economic growth. Based on the method of Development Economics and Dynamic Economics, this paper sets up Lag Model and empirically analyzes the contribution degree of cultivated land conversion to economic growth. The results indicated that, after cultivated land conversion, the contribution to economic growth had certain hysteresis, that meant the biggest degree of cultivated land conversion to economic growth was not in the year when cultivated land was taken up by non-farming construction land; and it also had a latent contribution to offer non-farming labor force. The conclusions of this thesis was to perfect the benefits mechanism, encase the value of the non-farming construction land quickly, at the same time, strengthen the long-term management and supervision to the process of cultivated land conversion, realized the greatest degree to the economic growth.
