摘要
Domain name system is an important infrastructure of the Internet, which is responsible for mapping domain name to IP address. However, it is facing serious security threats due to its distributed structure with a center. Blockchain has received extensive attention due to its decentralized, secure and trusted characteristics since the existence of Bitcoin. In this paper, we propose a new domain name system based on blockchain techniques called SSHTDNS. The form of consortium chain is adopted in SSHTDNS to guarantee the management of Top-Level Domain names, and linkable ring signature technique is used for identity anonymity and voting fairness of these consortium nodes. Multi-chain structure is designed with sharding protocol to enhance the scalability and throughput of the system. In addition, SSHTDNS allows nodes to use index databases outside the chain to speed up domain name resolution and verification. A combination of these techniques enables a secure, scalable and high-throughput domain name system.
