Oscillations of the electrochemical capacitance of a one-dimensional ring of correlated electrons

The effect of the interelectron interaction and the temperature on the dependence of the electrochemical capacitance C-mu of a one-dimensional ballistic ring on both the magnetic flux Phi and the reservoir electrochemical potential mu is considered. It is shown that the effect of the temperature on the dependence C-mu(Phi,mu) can be used to detect a non-Fermi-liquid behaviour of an electron system. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
