A model for wave-particle collisions in plasma physics and its application to gas dynamics

摘要
We consider a kinetic equation including the wave-particle collision operator of quasilinear plasma theory. We deduce a system of macroscopic equations for the particle internal energy distribution function and for the average fluid momentum. All the sub-systems consisting of moments of this distribution function up to an arbitrary order are closed. The system consisting of the first three moments is that of usual gas dynamics.
