摘要
Nowadays, non-indigenous species invasions are expanding in some countries and areas around the world, which has caught widespread, attentions. Invasive-species problems have become more-and more serious, because alien species are endangering environment safety and aquatic ecological system. China together with the international community is stepping up its ability to monitor and combat alien species. In this paper the widespread occurrences of hyacinth in Han River basin and its negative impact on aquatic environment are discussed and analyzed. Effective countermeasures and policies are put forward. The water resources on middle and lower reaches of Han River. are important water sources for Wuhan City. The occurrences of algae bloom and the invasion of hyacinth have indicated that water safety and aquatic environment safety in this area are severely threatened. It is urgent. to combat water pollution and conservation ecological environment. Public awareness should be made and effective measures be taken to tackle the issue.
